Horse Description
Reduced – Full up 14.2hh Haflinger gelding. We bought this wonderful boy for our daughter 18 months ago for her to bring on. Unfortunately she has been ill for nearly 12 months now and AJ has just been sitting in the paddock getting bored. So we have reluctantly decided to sell him as he needs more love and attention than he has been getting. He was only just 4 when she got him and other than me pottering around on him occasionally he really hasn''''''''t had much done to him at all. He is not shod at the moment, although we did have him done when we first had him and he was fine. He was fine in the box when he came to us and he has recently been wormed.

He is very loving and has the most amazing character (one of the reasons we are finding it so difficult to sell him). He is a good weight carrier – I am 15 stone and he carries me quite happily. He would ideally suit a teenager or adult, he is too strong for a child without adult supervision I would say. I have never jumped him or done any more than potter around the roads with him – if he was treated as a 4 year old that needs schooling from scratch then I honestly think he would make a fantastic RC or PC Horse. If you just want to hack out with him then he is great as he is. He is passported but not registered as a Haflinger.

AJ has suffered quite badly with sweet itch this summer, not helped by the fact that his field is next to a river. He still shows signs of this and is quite patchy and he is still rubbing occasionally. He could do with being kept in for a while to break the cycle but unfortunately we con''''''''t have access to a stable. This is why the price is so low for him.
