The Andalusian horse can be traced back to the Roman conquests in and around Spain in around 200BCThe Andalusian is also known as the or Pura Raza Espaņola (PRE) meaning pure Spanish-bred and has been used in the breeding of many other varieties of horse throughout the world, such as the Austrian Lipizzaner and the Peruvian Stepping Horse.
