| Pre-Olympic events delayed by horse flu - 5 Sept 2007 |

The Equestrian Federation of Australia (EFA) is attempting to reschedule vital Olympic qualifying events which have been disrupted because of the equine flu crisis.
The coming months are critical for the equestrian community, with events including the Sydney International three-day event, the Australian International three-day event in Adelaide, the Australian Showjumping Championships and the Australian Dressage Championships all being affected by the movement ban imposed because of the outbreak.
Restrictions on equine movement in the states of Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia have forced the cancellation of events, despite the fact that bans are now being eased.
The EFA is in talks with the International Equestrian Federation to organise a new calendar for events, which were all important qualifiers and test events for the Olympics next year.
